Last night, we drive to GUANGZHOU Hilton Hotel to visit an old customer from USA. He is Asim, a lighting fixture retailer from Chicago, came for Canton Fair. This picture was taken 8years before, Asim with HSONG founder Martin Pan. We have bussiness with Asim about 8years ago. He told us, the LED down light & LED spot light from HSONG is of very good quality, 8 years past, the lightings are still working, no one bad. We disscused our new design lightings, and take a picture with Asim.

Lighting effect encompasses various factors, including beam angle, presence of secondary light spots, light color temperature, and glare, all of which exert a significant infuence on the overall lighting effect. Beam angle: The beam angle, as depicteed in LED LIGHTING EFFECT chart1, refers to the angle at which light emanates from the light source. When choosing lighting for wall washing or artwork illumination, it becomes crucial to take into account different beam angles as they produce different effects on the wall surface. For instance, a wall wash spotlight with a specific angle may produce a particular visual effect. If the angle is too small, the light spots will appear discontinuous, while if it is too large, the light effect will not resemble small hills. It is recommended to choose a beam angle between 24-60 degrees for optimal results. Secondary light spots: Secondary light spots Many people may be familiar with this term, especially when they have seen trendy ceiling light designs. However, after they bought the lights and installed them at home, the result may be a layered effect instead of the desired small hills . This is caused by secondary light spots, which are formed due to the refraction of light. The primary light spot is formed by direct light emission from the light source, while the secondary light spot is formed by light reflected by the reflector cup (as shown in above picture). Therefore, for LED spotlights, it is important to avoid obvious secondary light spots if you want a simple and visually appealing wall washing effect. Glare Glare is a common issue, which can be described as the discomfort caused by bright lights shining directly into the eyes, as shown in the figure. It is important to prevent glare, as there is a significant difference between lights that support glare prevention and those that do not. Common methods to prevent glare include deep cup design, honeycomb glare shield, optical lenses, and black cups (dark surface reflection) (as shown in the figure). Choosing the material for LED downlights can be quite a professional task. After testing numerous downlights, I found the distinct along different materials . Let's start with the common materials of LED downlights/LED spotlight, which usually include plastic, plastic-coated aluminum, and pure aluminum. Pure aluminum can be further divided into die-cast aluminum, profile aluminum, and cold-forged aluminum. Generally speaking, plastic is often used for the body of regular downlights. It weighs very light and highly malleable. However, it has poor heat dissipation, which can lead to light decay and shorten the lifespan of the light fixture. Plastic-coated aluminum or die-cast aluminum, on the other hand, have better heat dissipation and are more substantial, providing a higher-quality feel. Most of the high configuration downlights & spotlights are made of profile aluminum and cold-forged aluminum body, which has sufficient starting weight and higher texture Meanwhile, profile aluminum and cold-forged aluminum, which are made of abundant aluminium materials, are very substantial and offer a premium feel. Profile Aluminum Recessed COB downlight: HS-THLC-26 They have the best heat dissipation, effectively reducing light decay and prolonging the lifespan of the light fixture. Why is heat dissipation important? This is the biggest difference between different materials for light fixtures. Heat dissipation can be considered the lifespan killer of LED lights. Poor heat dissipation results in more noticeable light decay and faster brightness attenuation. The so-called light decay exists in all light sources, but the degree of decay varies among different sources. The worse the heat dissipation, the more pronounced the light decay. Therefore, the choice of light fixture is indeed crucial. Apart from the different feel and quality, it also affects the lifespan. Furthermore, due to poor heat dissipation, plastic components may soften or melt under high temperatures. If the budget allows, it is advisable to prioritize light fixtures made of thick and solid cold-forged aluminum or profile aluminum, followed by die-cast aluminum.
